Hedley concert last night - February 23, 2012

I have seen Hedley every time they have come to the K-Rock Centre. They are amazing performers and singers which you will never be disappointed by. Last nights show was such an amazing experience and I got to share it with my best friend, Amanda.

I got to photograph the interviews of Hedley, Kay and Karl Wolf. It was awesome meeting all of them and they were so nice.  I have always loved Hedley’s music but have never got to meet them. I met Jacob and Dave yesterday and they were so funny. They rode in on a trolley cart to the interview, plowing into the barrier ropes of one of the concession stands. They have an awesome fun energy about themselves and I hope they come back again soon.

All the openers were great and kept the crowd going in excitement until Hedley. I got to photograph the first three songs Hedley played, and it was such a cool experience. I’ve never gotten to photograph a large concert in a photography pit before. Getting that opportunity was so amazing I’m at a loss of words to describe it. I got pictures that I never thought I would get to take at a Hedley concert that large. After the three songs I went back to the floor seats that we had.  Hedley always performs above and beyond and you could hear the whole venue singing along with them.  It must be such a great feeling for them to hear that, and it’s really nice for them to show how thankful they are of their fans.

Still on a high of excitement from last night, tonight we are going to see Simple Plan, Marianas Trench, These Kids Wear Crowns and All Time Low. I am beyond excited and that will be next week’s blog!

Here's a video from the concert of the song 'Sweater Song'
