Addicted to the Lights and the Sounds: Simple Plan 'GYHO' show in Ottawa

Since I was younger my favorite band has always been Simple Plan and I have always wanted to meet them. Last friday I finally got to do that and it was so amazing I was speechless.

I went to the Simple Plan ‘Get Your Heart On’ show with Marianas Trench and All Time Low. I had early entry for the show so I got to go in, watch Simple Plan’s soundcheck and meet them for the first time. I was so excited and nervous that I almost seemed calm. After the soundcheck the guys came down and I got to talk and take pictures with all of them. I got Pierre to sign my picture I drew of him and even gave him a copy. They were all so nice and the whole thing made me even more excited for the concert.

When we got let back in to the venue I was front row and beyond ready for the show to start. They played an incredible set and could never fail to amaze me. They write such meaningful songs that do so much for people and I was there singing along with them. I could go to a whole tour of their shows and still not get sick of it.

After the show I had a meet and greet, which meant I got to meet them again! Overly excited, I talked to all the guys again and got them to sign some things. Pierre hugged me and I got a group picture with them. Needless to say, my night was made!
