Seeing One Direction in Toronto - May 31, 2012

We knew that the boys would be checking out before leaving for the concert because they would be leaving after their show that night. I was with three other girls and I don’t think there are enough words to describe the excitement that we all had.

While waiting my friends came down from Barrie and I got to see them. They love 1D too so they came down to the hotel. Even though they didn’t get to see all the boys, they did get to see Louis leaving which was awesome. Louis left earlier with his girlfriend Eleanor before the rest of the boys. He came out, waved and left in a cab with her.

Then Paul, the boys head of security, came out and told us to get our cameras ready because they would be coming out! We were all basically freaking out right then and they weren’t even in sight yet. We now knew that they were coming out and we were going to get to see them! When the boys finally came out it was just amazing, they looked so perfect it was ridiculous. I’ve never been so excited to be a couple meters away from four boys in my whole life. It was almost surreal that they were right there in front of us. When Niall was getting into their tour bus after, he waved to us and it was perfect. Zayn totally looked right over at us and while they were leaving Harry waved out the window right to us. Just by the look on all our faces after you could see how amazed we were. After a while of freaking out I think we finally realized what had just happened. We had finally saw One Direction and it was perfection!

One Direction in Toronto - May 30, 2012

So on May 30th it was One Direction’s day off in Toronto. I had a couple of idea’s on where they may go so it was basically just a day to go around Toronto and hope that you bump into them. The first place I went to I met some awesome directioners and ended up going around Toronto with them. We went around to main places and to the boys hotel. We found out that Louis was in the Starbucks we went into right before us, which was by their hotel, so we decided to stick around there for awhile. We had lunch there which was hilarious and a lot of fun.

It then came about that the boys actually left Toronto and went to Niagara Falls. Even though we knew that they wouldn’t be back for a while we still hung around, then I went back to my hotel to have a snack. After that I ended up going back to the hotel and just hanging around there for a while, then I ran into my friend who lives in Toronto who was there earlier. We walked around for a while and saw that the guys were in the hotel bar. It was pretty late and we were starving so then we just looked around for possible places to eat. We saw Paul and Andy, who are One Direction’s body guards and ended up finding this little Irish pub. We had some delicious food there, did some final creeping around the hotel, while still keeping our distance and then called it a night.

One Direction in Toronto - May 29, 2012

On May 29th it was the first One Direction concert I got to go to. It's been a long time since It was the first time seeing a band that I really love, so I was really excited. It was so amazing and the boys are truly talented and so nice to their fans.

Not only was One Direction amazing, but Olly Murs their second opener was as well. He's from the UK and was on the X-Factor, like the boys. Before the show we ran over to this fan bus and got in line to go through to meet him and get an autograph. We weren't allowed to take pictures but we went through and talked to him and he kissed me on the cheek twice and it was wonderful. He is so nice and he was dancing to the music, while talking to us in his adorable accent.

When it came time for One Direction I was losing my mind inside. I was so excited to to see them actually performing for the first time, especially being their first headlining tour in Canada. They all came out looking beyond perfect in their first outfits. During every concert they do these twitter sessions where they each pick their favourite twitter question from a fan and answer it. The twitter session we had was amazing, filled with the Inbetweeners Dance, Niall doing his X-Factor voice, their favourite songs, Irish dancing and a dance off.  Niall took time during the show to thank all of the wonderful fans for how far they've come. It just shows how much they appreciate and love everything about their fans. They always say they have the best fans in the world and I'm so glad to be part of that.

Here's a video that Olly posted with Niall and him playing around backstage before the show

One Direction Trip to Toronto

So I decided not to post for a couple weeks so that I could post all at once about my wonderful three days in Toronto I had for the One Direction concerts I went too. I spent three days up in Toronto from May 29 to the 31st.  Be aware for some hardcore fangirling and creeping in these posts.

I got up to Toronto on May 29th for the first of two One Direction concerts I got to go to. I met some great people while I was staying up in Toronto and I also got to see my friends who came down from Barrie for a bit. On May 30 it was a day off so we walked around Toronto and spent some time around the boys hotel doing some One Direction creeping. It may sound a tad creepy but its not like we were the only ones doing it and we never did anything crazy, like others. Then on the 31st we actually got to see the boys come out and pose for pictures and then I had the second concert that night.

I had a ridiculously amazing 3 days full of One Direction goodness. The two concerts were beyond amazing, and it's so cool how it can be different each time even though it's the same show. The way that the boys interact with each other on stage is adorable and you never want to miss anything going on while they're on stage.

I had so much fun and it was great to meet a whole bunch of awesome directioners. I hope you enjoy my posts to follow this one about my days in Toronto and all the excitement.

The New Cities - 'The Hype' Video Shoot - August 22, 2011

I saw a post on Facebook about a music video shoot for The New Cities. I had The New Cities perform at my sweet sixteen fundraiser and they're really nice guys. I told my friend about it and we emailed to get on the list to do the shoot.

I met up with my friend in Barrie, we rode the go train down to Toronto and spent the day shopping before the shoot. Later that night we went to the location and spent a lot of the time sitting and waiting. While at a video shoot you actually spend most of the time waiting for other scenes to be shot, during that waiting though, you get to see the guys in band. We got to talk to all of them and they remembered me from my party which was nice. We got to go in when we finally started the fashion show scene. It looked like it was going to be a sick video just by the scene we were doing. This was also the first time hearing a clip of the new single, which sounded amazing.

It was so cool to be part of something like that and to see how they do everything. It was a ton of fun and there was even fire involved. The video went super late but it was definitely worth it. The final video for 'The Hype' turned out looking amazing and it was so well done.

Bryan Adams at the K-Rock Centre - May 2, 2012

The other night I got to see the legendary Bryan Adams perform at the K-Rock Centre. It was an awesome experience and such a great show. He played for over 2 hours, playing hit after hit.

Bryan Adams is so well known, that it's hard for anyone to not know who he is. In the sold out show there were people in the crowd of all ages. Even if you didn't grow up hearing Bryan Adams you've heard some of his most popular songs. Everything I do, Run To You, Summer of '69, Heaven, Have You Ever Really Loved a Women, Cloud Number 9 and Cuts Like a Knife. The list seems to just keep going of the hits this guy has done, and when he performed at the concert it sounded exactly as you were listening to the CD.

He gave such an amazing performance I could definitely never forget it. Some people may not know, but Bryan Adams was actually born in Kingston. It's especially neat knowing that he was born here and that Kingston has a special place in his heart.

Here are some pictures from the show:

Down With Webster at the CNE - August 30, 2012

After a long night the day before with The Midway State video shoot it was time for the CNE. The majority of our day was spent sitting and standing in lines waiting for the actual concert gates to open but it was worth it to have front row for the show.

While waiting in line we had to go to the bathroom, on our way there a CNE rep on a golf cart had stopped and was handing out meet and greet wristbands. We ran over and he asked who we wanted to meet, we said Down With Webster and he handed us the wristbands. We were so excited and shocked that we ran around and did a little dorky happy dance. We then totally skipped the bathroom and ran to meet our other friends waiting in the M&G line.

We made the guys in the band these hilarious inside joke t-shirts so it was perfect because we had only got to give a couple of them the shirts already. In the M&G we talked to all of them and gave the rest of them the shirts. The guys all loved the shirts and thought they were hilarious. After getting some pictures with them, we went back in the line for the concert gates to open.

After all the hours of waiting in line it was so worth it to get front row. We saw lots of awesome artists and bands like Greyson Chance, JRDN, Shawn Desman, Stereos and Down With Webster. Down With Webster was amazing like always, we got to hear some new songs and we ended up being in their second new album's photo.

Here's a video from the concert of Down With Webster performing I Want It All, which was new at the time.

This is what Down With Webster fans end up doing while waiting in line all day:
